Siblingen Randenturm

From the 19-meter-high platform, visitors can enjoy an extraordinary panorama stretching from the Vorarlberg Alps, across the mountains of eastern and central Switzerland, to the peaks of the Bernese Oberland and on to the Black Forest heights. The unobstructed view of the lovely Klettgau countryside and the forests of the Randen is also breathtaking.
In 1872, nature lovers built the first observation tower on Siblinger Schlossbuck hill. However, just ten years later, it was swept away by a storm and replaced in the same year by a 12-meter-high iron lattice structure. This had a significantly longer lifespan and served its purpose until 2014. However, it had become so dilapidated that a replacement was necessary. The current tower, which is architecturally and technically unusual, was inaugurated in November 2014.
