Siblingen Randenturm

From the 19-meter-high platform, visitors can enjoy an extraordinary panorama stretching from the Vorarlberg Alps, across the mountains of eastern and central Switzerland, to the peaks of the Bernese Oberland and on to the Black Forest heights. The unobstructed view of the lovely Klettgau countryside and the forests of the Randen is also breathtaking.
In 1872, the Friends of Nature Observation Society built the first observation tower on the Siblinger Schlossbuck. Just ten years later, however, it was swept away by a storm and replaced that same year by a 12-meter-high iron truss structure. This tower had a significantly longer lifespan. It served its purpose until 2014. However, it had become so dilapidated that a replacement was necessary. The current tower, which is architecturally and technically unique, was inaugurated in November 2014.
