In 1872, the Friends of Nature Observation erected the first observation tower on the Siblinger Schlossbuck. Just ten years later, however, it was swept away by a storm and replaced by a 12-metre-high iron truss structure in the same year.
This had a significantly longer lifespan. It served its purpose until 2014. However, it had become so dilapidated that it had to be replaced. The current, architecturally and technically unusual tower was inaugurated in November 2014. From the 19-metre-high platform, visitors can enjoy an extraordinary panorama from the Vorarlberg Alps, across the mountains of eastern and central Switzerland to the peaks of the Bernese Oberland and on to the heights of the Black Forest. The unobstructed view of the lovely Klettgau landscape and the forests of the Randen is also breathtaking.
