In the footsteps of the Romans

In the footsteps of the Romans
Visit the impressive ruins of the former central baths of the small Roman town of Juliomagus (1st to 3rd century AD) and learn interesting, surprising and amusing facts about the bathing culture of the Romans.

The baths, which were discovered in 1974, are now preserved in a modern museum building and open to the public.

Thanks to the well-preserved remains of the Roman complex, it is easy to immerse yourself in the past and imagine what happened in the baths. Public baths played an important role in Roman times. The thermal baths were not only used for personal hygiene, but were also the social center of a settlement.

The thermal baths museum is open all year round, is wheelchair accessible and is also suitable for visits by children and school classes.
