Winterlislöchli cave barbecue area

The Nagelfluh cave in the "Flüe" between Osterfingen and Wilchingen offers a beautiful, unobstructed view of the neighboring German Klettgau and radiates its own peace and harmony.

The name of the cave "Winterlislöchli" goes back, according to old Wilchingen legend, to a peddler called "Winterlise", who is said to have lived there for a while on her wanderings. Today it serves as a cool, shady place for the winegrowers of the "Hohlenberg" vineyard below to take a break from their work in summer, and in autumn to roast the traditional "Herbsterschüblinge" around the fire. Space for max. 60 people. Silvia and Markus Gysel are responsible for the administration and, if necessary, catering in the cave.
