The historic Riegelhaus is one of the most beautiful houses in the canton of Schaffhausen. In 1684, Tobias Holländer bought the "Hof zu Hova" and built his aristocratic residence there, the famous Holländerhaus. Next to the house is the barracks where he housed his bodyguard in keeping with his rank. Tobias Holländer was the most influential man of his time in the Schaffhausen town council.
