Munot
Munot - Schaffhausen's landmark, has towered over the city for over 400 years.

The Munot fortress was built in the 16th century by Schaffhausen citizens through communal labor and continues to shape the appearance of Schaffhausen's old town today. The city's landmark is a major attraction for both tourists and locals. Its battlements host open-air cinemas, children's festivals, dance events, and other activities.
Munot Bell
The tower houses the apartment of the Munot guardian, who rings the famous Munot bell by hand every evening at 9:00 PM. In the summer of 2002, the bell was repaired, and since August 26, 2002, the bell on the tower has been rung by hand for five minutes every evening at nine o'clock, just as it has been since 1589.
