Tap Tab music room
Media
Founded in 1988 as a loose grouping of concert and party organizers, the TapTab music association has been running the TapTab music room - a club with a capacity of 200 people - under its own management since the opening of the Kammgarn cultural center in 1998.
Around 15,000 visitors a year appreciate the wide range of events on offer: concerts, parties, poetry slams, films (such as the "Kurz & Knapp" short film series), musical readings and much more.
The TapTab organizing team - consisting of around 40 active members and an additional 60 volunteers - features the underground, the non-established and new trends in pop culture and DJ culture, and continuously provides a platform for local and regional bands, DJs, short filmmakers and slammers.
TapTab also fosters international networking with similarly positioned scenes and brings acts from all over the world to Schaffhausen. With 130 events a year, it is the highest-profile music club in the region (awarded the +GF+ prize in 2002) and has become an integral part of local cultural life.
