Getting to Stein am Rhein

Stein am Rhein is located at the western end of Lake Constance, where the Rhine flows out of Lake Untersee again. The picturesque old town is easy and quick to reach – whether you are arriving from Zurich, Winterthur, Schaffhausen, Konstanz, or Southern Germany.

Public Transport

You can easily reach Stein am Rhein by S-Bahn from Schaffhausen or Winterthur, as well as from Konstanz. From the train station, it's just a short walk across the Rhine bridge to the historic old town. This way, you can travel to Stein am Rhein quickly and stress-free.

Boat

One of the most beautiful ways to arrive is via the Rhine. From Kreuzlingen, Konstanz, or Schaffhausen, you can comfortably travel by boat to Stein am Rhein. The journey takes longer than by train or car, but it offers a unique experience through nature.
