Gravel Bike Tours

Round-trip tour along the Rhine

Auf dieser Rundtour fährst du von Altstadt zu Altstadt grösstenteils entlang des Rheins. Mit nur wenigen Höhenmetern auf rund 40 Kilometern und überwiegend asphaltierten Wegen eignet sich die Route perfekt für Genussradelnde und alle, die das Schaffhauserland entspannt entdecken möchten. Von Stein am Rhein aus fährst du über Wagenhausen nach Diessenhofen. Von dort folgst du der SchweizMobil Seerücken-Route Nr. 82 nach Schaffhausen. Für den Rückweg folgst du der SchweizMobil Rhein-Route Nr. 2. Natürlich kannst du auch nur einen Teil der Strecke machen oder die Tour entlang des Untersees und Bodensees erweitern.

Kreuzlingen – Schaffhausen

Klettgau Wine Route

The Klettgau Wine Route combines enjoyable gravel biking with one of the most beautiful wine-growing regions in German-speaking Switzerland. Winding through vineyards, small wine-growing villages, and sweeping views, the route follows quiet side roads through the Schaffhausen Pinot Noir area. The route is marked with the number 751. Along the way, numerous wineries invite you to take a delightful break. Thanks to its moderate length, the tour is suitable for both beginners and as a relaxed after-work ride.
If you’d like to turn this into a loop, you can Beringen Route 77 from Trasadingen via Wilchingen and Neunkirch back to Beringen .

The Naturpark-Weinland Route is the perfect adventure for anyone who wants to spend several days on a gravel bike. The tour winds through vineyards, forests, and idyllic villages, and follows the Rhine through the Schaffhauserland neighboring areas. Numerous scenic viewpoints, regional specialties, and welcoming places to stop for a bite make this route a special experience for bikepacking enthusiasts and ambitious gravel riders.

Reiathöfe Loop Trail

This loop route starting in Schaffhausen is perfect for an after-work ride or a leisurely gravel bike tour. It features a mix of roads and natural or gravel trails in equal measure.

Untersee Loop Tour

74.6 km | 5 h 10 min

This loop around Lake Untersee, starting in Stein am Rhein ideal for anyone who enjoys riding a gravel bike at a brisk pace. Most of the approximately 75-kilometer route is on paved roads, and there’s very little elevation gain. It’s perfect for a fast and varied ride.

Tips for Your Gravel Bike Ride

Best time of year: From spring through fall, the gravel bike routes in Schaffhauserland offer Schaffhauserland conditions. In the spring, the vineyards and meadows are in bloom, and in the fall, the forests and vineyards are ablaze with color.

Stops along the way: Along many of the routes, restaurants, farm stands, wineries, and cozy cafés invite you to take a break. These are marked directly on the route map.
