church St. Moritz
The church, built in 1491 and dedicated to St. Mauritius, is situated on a promontory of the Hallau hill and towers above the village of Hallau, which is famous for its wine-growing.
Its elevated position means that the church is the focal point of the entire Klettgau region and has become Hallau's landmark.
In 1974, it was declared an artistic monument of national importance due to its artistic and historical significance. It was thoroughly restored between 1976 and 1978 and underwent another gentle renovation in 2015.
The church can be viewed on request. If you are interested, please send an email to:schaffhauserland
