At weekends, the Buchberghaus is open all year round and offers ideal catering and overnight accommodation for everyone. The Buchberghaus is a popular excursion destination in the middle of Schaffhausen's Randen region and offers a panoramic view of Hegau, Lake Constance and the Swiss mountains.
Catering
The Buchberghaus offers catering and overnight accommodation. The house is open every weekend, on all public holidays and sometimes during school vacations. The restaurant seats 40 people and there is a large garden restaurant in front of the house. It is family-friendly, with play and barbecue areas.
Comfortable overnight accommodation
The Buchberghaus has various sleeping options and space for 40 overnight guests. There are rooms for 2, 3, 4 and 5 people as well as two dormitories. In the rooms you sleep in Nordic style and in the dormitories in your own sleeping bag. Shower and washrooms are separated by gender on each floor.
The Buchberghaus can also be rented during the week. The guest room can then be converted into a classroom or course room.
Around the Buchberghaus
There are two barbecue areas in front of the Buchberghaus. Children and teenagers can have fun at various playgrounds. A roundabout, a rotating climbing tower, a slackline, a table tennis table, basketball hoops and a volleyball court invite you to play and exercise.
Biodiversity network
The biodiversity trail network is a sustainable facility that supports and promotes exercise, recreation and an understanding of nature. Various aspects of biodiversity are described on the network of paths around the Buchberghaus of Naturefriends Schaffhausen. It is intended to appeal to nature lovers, hikers and, in particular, families, schools and nature-related professional groups.
