The Buchberghaus is open on weekends throughout the year and offers excellent dining and lodging options for everyone. The Buchberghaus is a popular destination in the heart of the Schaffhausen Randen region and offers panoramic views of Hegau, Lake Constance, and the Swiss Alps.
Dining at the
The Buchberghaus offers dining and lodging. The facility is open every weekend, on all holidays, and during some school breaks (spring and fall breaks). The dining room seats 40 people, and there is a large outdoor dining area in front of the building. It is designed to be family-friendly, with play areas and barbecue facilities.
Comfortable overnight accommodation
The Buchberghaus has various sleeping options and space for 40 overnight guests. There are rooms for 2, 3, 4 and 5 people as well as two dormitories. In the rooms you sleep in Nordic style and in the dormitories in your own sleeping bag. Shower and washrooms are separated by gender on each floor.
The Buchberghaus is also available for rent during the week. The guest room can then be converted into a classroom or training room. A projector with HDMI and USB-C ports and a screen are available.
Around the Buchberghaus
There are two barbecue areas in front of the Buchberghaus. Children and teenagers can have fun at various playgrounds. A roundabout, a rotating climbing tower, a slackline, a table tennis table, basketball hoops and a volleyball court invite you to play and exercise.

The path network for biodiversity is a sustainable facility that supports and promotes movement, recreation, and understanding of nature. Various aspects of biodiversity are described on the path network around the Buchberghaus of the Naturfreunde Schaffhausen. It aims to appeal to nature lovers, hikers, and especially families, schools, and professions related to nature.
