Kulturhaus Obere Stube

Kulturhaus Obere Stube
The Kulturhaus is a place to linger, meet and enjoy cultural diversity.

Media

The Kulturhaus Obere Stube is a lively and open exhibition and meeting place for national and international art and culture. The former guild house "Zur Rose" houses historical exhibitions and contemporary national and international art. The two special exhibition rooms are regularly reorganized. Themes from classical modernism, design, regional culture and history as well as performative and experimental art find a new venue here. The large guild hall from the 15th century, in which semi-permanent exhibitions are shown, and the wood-panelled guild room from 1681 are the historical highlights.

Floating stones
The inner courtyard is surprising: Australian artist Jamie North has created a striking sculptural landscape here. A wall full of floating stones gives the courtyard structure and character. Art and nature come together in a unique way. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the old town for a while, you will find a quiet spot here.
