The Kulturhaus Obere Stube is a lively and open exhibition and meeting place for national and international art and culture. The former guild house "Zur Rose" houses historical exhibitions and contemporary national and international art. The two special exhibition rooms are regularly reorganized. Themes from classical modernism, design, regional culture and history as well as performative and experimental art find a new venue here. The large guild hall from the 15th century, in which semi-permanent exhibitions are shown, and the wood-panelled guild room from 1681 are the historical highlights.
Schwebende Steine
Der Innenhof überrascht: Hier hat der australische Künstler Jamie North eine markante Skulpturenlandschaft kreiert. Eine Wand voller schwebender Steine verleiht dem Innenhof Struktur und Charakter. Kunst und Natur verbinden sich auf einzigartige Weise miteinander. Wer dem geschäftigen Treiben der Altstadt für eine Weile entfliehen möchte, findet hier ein ruhiges Plätzchen.
