Schleitheimertal Museum
Media
Stop by the museum—housed in the old schoolhouse dating from 1780—and learn some interesting facts about Schleitheim.
The exhibits include, among other things, fossils of prehistoric marine and land-dwelling creatures. Learn more about the dinosaur Schleitheimia schutzi. Pictures, documents, and artifacts from Schleitheim’s early history, as well as everyday and luxury items and handicrafts from daily life in Schleitheim, can be explored in fascinating exhibits. There is also a small exhibition on the former Schaffhausen-Schleitheim StSS streetcar line. An international attraction is the world’s only publicly viewable print of the 16th-century Schleitheim Confession and the accompanying exhibition on the origins of Anabaptism.
