Good coffee is made where people know what they are doing - and why. We work with partners who focus on substance rather than quantity. We roast coffee the way it is meant to be: Clear, clean. Independent. Light or dark - if it is, then it's right. No compromise. Only character. Coffee is more than just a drink. It is a meeting place, culture, everyday life and exception all in one. For centuries, coffee has brought people together around a table. To talk. To argue. To think.
Our espresso bar is there for just that. A place with attitude. And damn good coffee. WHY DO WE ROAST COFFEE? BECAUSE IT'S NECESSARY. DOT. Coffee is not just coffee. It is trade, history, exploitation - and at the same time taste, culture and encounter. We roast because we want to show that things can be different: transparent, fair, uncompromisingly good. Our coffees do not come from anonymous warehouses, but directly from people who know what they are doing. Small farmers, cooperatives, family businesses - people with an attitude. We buy directly, pay prices that make sense and show what we are left with. Everything is open, everything is visible.
Our roasts show what coffee can do: Fruit, depth, clarity - sometimes also rough edges. No showmanship - just honest craftsmanship with attitude. And yes: we would be nothing without the producers. That's why we don't take ourselves too seriously. But we take what we do seriously.
And because attitude doesn't stop at coffee ... We bake the same way: artisan bread. Homemade cakes. Honest, pure, regional. Butter, flour and other ingredients come directly from local producers. Without junk. Without compromise. Just like coffee. Whether it's a croissant with an espresso or sourdough bread to take home - everything we make should taste good. And feel good.
PATAP is not perfect. But real. And that is more important to us.
