Hurbig playground

The playground is equipped with a wooden climbing tower with a slide and a swing. There is a barbecue area right next to it.

The Hurbig is the highest point between the Rafzerfeld and the Rhine Graben and can be seen from afar. The name goes back to the Old High German word Hurewic: har or hor means "swampy, boggy or mire". Water emerges on the eastern slope, barely visible in the forest. Rush and cattail grow there. Both are native plants that indicate wet ground.
