Glassblowing Mondglas
Media
Have you always wanted to know how glass is made or what glass actually is? Various glass furnaces are at work in the glassworks. You will discover how the color gets into the glass and why it is called fire-polished.
Both individual visitors and tourist groups are welcome to blow glass in the glassworks. We offer glass blowing demonstrations and guided tours for groups of up to 50 people (please book in advance). You will experience how glass is formed from a lump of molten glass using skillful hands, wet paper, various tools and, of course, traditional glassmaking pipes. Fascinating objects, animals, sculptures, bowls and much more are created before your eyes.
