The "kleine bühnehas been at home on the big stage of the Schaffhausen City Theater for over 70 years and successfully attracts numerous theater fans of all ages to the large theater on Herrenacker every year.

Year after year, the members of die kleine bühne—people from all walks of life—devote a large part of their free time to bringing stories to the stage. Whether acting, building sets as part of the construction crew, creating costumes as a member of the sewing team, or scouring thrift stores and attics as the person in charge of props—acting, singing, hammering, painting, cutting, pinning, hunting down props, applying makeup, or doing hair are all part of it. Just as the productions are part of Schaffhausen. Whether it’s before Christmas for the children or every two years for the adults at the City Theater’s season opener.
