17th century. One of the most magnificent houses in old Schaffhausen, located on the former cattle market. Among other things, it also served as an inn until 1608. During its renovation in 1608 into an elegant bourgeois house, the late Gothic facade was adorned with the splendor of German Renaissance in the form of oriel windows and a portal. The frescoes on the facade depict a golden ox as the house symbol and figures from Babylonian history and Greek antiquity, especially the heroes of the Trojan War.
