A historic tower dating back to the 14th century with an eventful history.
The tower has been documented since 1363. After the city fire of 1668, it was rebuilt and extensively renovated in 1723. The fresco on the facade was created in 1879 and designed by Prof. F. Vetter. In the 19th century, the tower served as the city jail.
