Media

The former monastery church was built in the 12th century under the influence of the Hirsau Reform. During the Reformation, a large part of the interior furnishings was lost due to iconoclasm; the choir stalls and the choir paintings have survived. In 1583–84, the church was converted into a Protestant church. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the building underwent several renovations. After one of the church towers had to be demolished in 1561 following a lightning strike, the building’s appearance is now characterized by a slightly leaning tower with a spindle-shaped roof.
